Fuel savings, high efficiency, and E27 compliant cybersecurity are among the benefits offered by the three controllers in the series.

Controlling energy sources efficiently is very important in shipping, but requirements vary widely: There is a big difference between adding a battery on a shrimp boat, protecting a container ship against hacker attacks, and helping an offshore supply vessel maintain its position in rough seas.
Three controllers cover any need
DEIF is now launching the iE Marine controller series which offers the flexibility, power, and features to cover any energy control need, from simple to advanced. Its three controllers help designers, shipowners, and operators reduce fuel consumption, maximise efficiency, ensure safety and cybersecurity, and much more on vessels of all sizes:
- iE 150 Marine is a cost-effective and user-friendly controller for coastal and harbour vessels
- iE 250 Marine is a flexible and cyber-secure controller for oceangoing vessels
- iE 350 Marine is an advanced modular controller for highly demanding applications
“No matter what energy sources you’re using, what you’re using them for, and on what ship, we cover all your control needs,” says DEIF Product Manager Henrik Hansen. “And we’re present all over the world to ensure you get the support and answers you require.”
E27 defence against cyberpirates
The series helps combat the growing problem of cyberpiracy: With its built-in security features, the iE 250 Marine and iE 350 Marine comply with the revised unified requirement E27 from the IACS (International Association of Classification Societies).
“This is a first in the maritime industry,” comments Henrik Hansen. “Shipowners, designers, and other industry stakeholders can now achieve cyber-secure shipping that reduces the risk of cyberthreats to crews, cargoes, and ships.”
