Park control
Park control
Control your wind farm with DEIF Wind Park Power Management (WPPM) and maximize energy production with accurate and fast power control including weather forecast prediction to fulfill your energy demand.
Optimise energy production with Wind Park Power Management
By introducing a larger share of wind power into the grid new challenges open up. Currently, there is much focus on designing a robust and optimized wind turbine, but the main challenge of today is to integrate as much energy as possible and at the same time secure a stable grid on the electricity consumer side. It is all about generating an accurate and fast power control of the complete wind park with integration of weather forecast to predict the power production for the grid operator to have as much information for planning as possible.
With more than 30 wind parks or farms running in China, DEIF Wind Power Technology has a unique experience and reference for control of wind parks with a high power level. This goes from 50MW to 400MW wind parks.
Wind park control functions for safe and reliable grid integration
DEIF’s wind park control solution Wind Park Power Management makes it possible to take control of the wind park performance and operation. DEIF Wind Power Technology offers a software package together with our robust AWC 500 controller that enables wind park owners or operators to comply with the demands of grid integration and are standardized in IEC 61400-25-2 with the following:
- Active and reactive power
- Grid Frequency Compensation
- Constant Reactive Power Control
- Delta Power Control
- Power Factor Control
- Voltage Control
Wind turbine lifetime extension
In a large scale wind park, the wind distribution can be very uneven due to environmental factors such as landscape (e.g. in mountain areas), shadow effects and turbulences from other turbines etc. With DEIF’s Wind Park Power management, these unavoidable factors are communicated into the wind farm control system to ensure an efficient control of each individual turbine in a wind farm.
The solution Wind Park Power Management is cluster based and includes algorithms that enable to distribute set points individually to the different turbines based on several environmental inputs such as wind direction and temperature. With cluster control, an even distribution of the loads over time on all turbines in the wind park is achieved. This benefits less wear and tear per produced kWh resulting in a total life time extension a wind farm and minimizes operational costs.
Short lead times and timely delivery
Our extensive manufacturing capacity allows us to meet any volume demand – regardless of geographical destination. We work hard to make sure our customers receive orders as quickly as possible, and we ship standard products in less than 7 days.
We manufacture all our products in-house at our Danish HQ in Skive to ensure we continue to meet demand and reduce customer lead times. So if you are struggling to get hold of control products through your usual supply channels, there has never been a better time to talk to DEIF.
